Well done Tessa and Lilly for their great efforts in representing Room 12 and an even BIGGER congratulations to Tessa who took out the final and will represent Lytton Street School at the Feilding competition next Monday night.

Welcome Back!!

Welcome back to 2011. We have a lot of great things planned for the year and we are all excited to get started! Keep an eye out on here throughout the year to see the children's work and fun things they will be getting up to. Especially our PREP programme and all the gross, skillful and down right awesome house challenges the children will be fighting to win. Our big focus this term is CONTRIBUTE so we will hopefully see the children in action contributing to our classroom, the school, the environment AND this blog! Until next time....take care :)

Before story of The Three Little Pigs

Room 12 have been basing our writing around the three little pigs.

Our learning intention:We are learning to entertain

At the moment we are writing stories about what we think happened before the story of the three little pigs took place. We will also be writing what we think happened after the story was finished, the story from the wolves point of view and lastly we will write an alternate ending for the story.

Here is an exert from a pupils story:

"Grr, what are you doing?" yelled Miss Piggy pant, ripping her pasley pattern apron off. "How many times have I told you, your room looks like a pig sty!" This is what you use to hear if you walked past number 11 Nicker Bocker Lane. Until mamma pig finally snapped! "Thats it! I cant take it any longer, get out of my house, NOW! You little runts out!!" Waahh!" Said Bacon Jr, the plumpest, pinkest pig you will ever see. " Boo!" Yelled Pork Chops. " I'll miss your egg salad sandweidges!" Shouted Ham, the shortest, smartest pig of them all. And they walked away.

Mean while in the forest, Mr Wolfey-Fox was giving his kids the what for too: " You act like you were raised by wolves!!" He screamed. "We were daddy!!" Whimpered Wolf 1.....
